They met in 2009, while Janine was a summer student with hydro. Aaron, a 4th year apprentice caught her eye. They spent the summer getting to know each other, and in the fall Janine took off for France for a year. Their connection remained strong; and when she returned home – the two became official.
I met up with this lovely duo at Drysdale Tree farm just outside of Alliston. I was ecstatic to use the grounds, as it is quite the magical little place. We picked up our Christmas tree there last year, and I immediately knew it would be a fantastic location for photos. The two of them were absolute naturals in front of the camera; their love for one another was easy to capture & extremely evident. Their adorable dog Bauer (who I nicknamed “Mr.B”) came along to have his 5 minutes of fame as well. Mr.B was absolutely adorable in all of the photos (also a natural), but when we took him out, he cried and cried putting on quite a show, haha! Luckily, he had Janine’s maid of honor to keep his company while we took off to take more photos (thank you)! We ended our session by heading back to the “hydro pole” where it all began for them. Aaron carved their initials in the pole, and I quietly stepped back to capture this adorable moment between the two. I can see the two of them years down the road bringing their children back to this carving; to show them where it all began.
The two will be tying the knot next April in a intimate ceremony in front of close family & friends. I am so excited as it will be my first “Alliston” wedding – and even better as its at the gorgeous Gibson Centre. I am so glad that I will be working with the both of you in just a few short months. Thanks for letting me capture your love.
