The older you get, the smaller the world becomes in the sense that everyone is connected. Jordan and Brittany individually knew clients and friends of mine, but our first meeting was back at a wedding in late 2013 after girlfriend of mine sent me a text during that wedding saying “hey, my friends are at the wedding you’re shooting”! Fast forward a few years; they were guests at another wedding I photographed, we were both guests at a wedding we attended, and finally I got the chance to photograph their special day! Both not “camera people”, or ones you could consider “camera shy” were amazing on their wedding day. I was thrilled by how many laughs and smiles I got from them both, and was so thrilled that they both fell into their portraits with ease.
I met up with Brittany and the girls at Silver Lakes to photograph them before Jordan and his crew came to join for their reveal. The location we were in was a bit tricky in terms of keeping Brittany hidden as Jordan rolled up on his golf cart with the guys. The girls huddled in front of her to keep her hidden until I was able to get Jordan set up for their reveal. Their ceremony was officiated by the grooms father (which made their ceremony extra special), and one of my favourite moments of the day was watching their bridal party huddle in around them following their ceremony for a quick cheer (soooo cute)! Throughout the planning process Brittany made it clear how much she really wanted sunset photos, and while not every wedding get’s a pretty sunset, I was so grateful for them that we did. We snuck out at the end of my coverage with them for a few more romantic portraits and they are some of my favourite of the day.
Congratulations Jordan & Brittany!
