Time sure flies when you’re having fun! That’s how I feel when it comes to keeping up with blogging all of the sessions I photographed in 2016, lol! My priorities will always lay in a faster turn around time for clients before blogging, so if you’re thinking I’m slacking, I’m happy to admit I’m slacking in the right area.
At the beginning of last summer, I had the incredible opportunity to plan and style an editorial with some amazing vendors. The shoot was featured on the 100 Layer Cake Blog in August, but I wanted to take a moment to share more of the stunning images that were created on that day.
This editorial was a true labor of love. It was styled and planned by myself and the most wonderful florists I know. Nemo & Laurie from Art In Bloem and I had so much fun sharing visions and inspiration for what we wanted to create. We were a solid team from the very beginning, and I’m so proud of our work. I could never have imagined that the florals would have turned out as beautifully as they did. It’s one thing to sketch things about, but another to see it and touch it in real life.
Kirsten from The Perfect Table and I actually went to highschool together. We had remained Facebook friends, and when I was browsing my newsfeed oneday I saw that she had shared that her and her sister had opened their own boutique tableware and props rental company. I reached out to her and she was thrilled to hop aboard. I had shared our vision with her before our meeting, and asked her to pull pieces that she thought would work perfectly.
I could go on and on about each single vendor and how much work they put into this day, but I know the photos below will speak for themselves. Enjoy!
