Drew & Lindsay’s Wedding // Saint Victor La Grand Maison, Ingrandes France
Drew & Lindsay’s wedding celebration in the French countryside was one for the books. Not only did travelling to France to begin their married life suit them both, but it couldn’t have been a more ideal getaway for their 50 guests. I was thrilled when they invited myself and my husband along to document their much anticipated day. Since their wedding, Lindsay and I have remained in touch and have become friends, bonding over our pregnancies and having our first babies just 9 days apart.
Lindsay spent a year living in France and is a French teacher with a strong passion for the culture. They never thought they’d be able to make their dream of getting married there happen, but once close family and friends became excited about the idea it quickly became a reality. They found the venue Saint Victor La Grand though Oliver Travels, and went to visit it in person the summer before their wedding. The location was an absolute dream, boasting a classic French chateau and a vintage barn for their reception. The brides prep location was an old barn that was open to the outdoors which allowed a breeze to flow through, and was decorated with vintage French bohemian pieces.
Lindsay planned everything herself, keeping simple palettes, earthy colours, and a classy whimsical feel in mind. Simple greenery and an eclectic mix of vintage chairs transformed the neutral palette of the dreamy historical reception barn. They chose a traditional French wedding called “une piece montee” which was presented to them during their reception.
Their day was truly beautiful and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to have worked with this beautiful couple <3
